David Fayet says about the name of the domain:

“The fadan or fada is the name given to whoever has been touched by the fairies and lost their mind.”

David did not come from a family of vigneron. He was a professional handball player who played at the highest levels in France. Injuries cut short his career and as his in-laws were wine growers, he developed an interest in viticulture. He went back to school to study Oenology and interned to learn his new profession.
At age 30, he had a chance to take over some vineyards near his in-laws and in 2003 Mas du Fadan was born. That same year, his daughter Anna was born. His best cuvée is with her name. Since 2008, his vines have been certifies agriculture biologique.
