François Lumpp and his wife Isabelle have been recognized as one of the finest producers in Givry. With over 6.5 hectars of vines, replanted over the last twenty years with only the finest material, they have truly set the standard in Givry for both red and white wines. Great attention to viticulture, low yields, farming without chemicals, low yields, and manual labor in the field and handpicking and sorting of grapes, severe selection after harvest and minimalist winemaking allows them to make wines that are sublime, pure and wonderfully balanced. We are very excited to be able to represent them.

Givry 1er Cru A Vigne Rouge 2013

The A Vigne Rouge is “à mi-côteaux” – coming from half-way up the gentle slope of Givry where the clay/limestone soils have perfect drainage. This Pinot Noir demonstrates how Givry can be ts best, and challenges some of the best of the Côte de Nuits Premiers Crus.
Bright red color, expressive fresh cherry nose, red berry, fresh fruit on the palate, juicy smooth tannins and very clean and fresh acidity.
